Universal Lighting Technologies Introduces the CFL Mult-E Kit™

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 18, 2004) – Universal Lighting Technologies already has the industry’s most comprehensive product line, and they continue to break new ground with the CFL Mult-E Kit™ for CFL ballast replacement. Its innovative design makes ballast replacement and retrofitting easier than ever.

The genius of the Mult-E Kit™ is its versatility. With multiple mounting options and multiple exit configurations for wiring, the Mult-E Kit™ can take the place of virtually any compact fluorescent lighting ballast. Every kit contains a Triad® multi-exit ballast, an exclusive snap-mount adapter plate, lead-wire harness, and a wire extraction tool.

The Mult-E Kit™ ballast performs at a power factor above .98 with less than 10% total harmonic distortion (THD). The ballast also incorporates Programmed Rapid Start technology for long lamp life. Plus, the new snap-mount adapter plate makes installation remarkably simple because it allows for quick attachment with no additional hardware.

Other features and benefits include:

• Universal input voltage (108–305 volts)

• Metal can construction

• 1- or 2-lamp operation of multiple lamp applications

• End-of-lamp-life shutdown circuit for safe operation

• Auto-reset of lamp after shutdown —Lets you replace lamp without turning off power

• Replace three ballast SKUs with just one!
