New Low-Temp Seals for Solenoid Valves Used in Extreme Cold
New Britain, CT — Peter Paul now offers a new, low temperature FKM seal material for use in extremely cold environments as low as -60°F (-15.6°C). Applications range from northern pipelines to cryogenics and other extreme environments where maintenance and replacement are especially difficult.
Other seal materials tended to crack, leak or otherwise fail at these low temperatures. However, this proprietary seal formulation, developed by Peter Paul, offers bubble-tight sealing at extreme cold. The new seal material is available across the full line of Peter Paul solenoid valves.
Peter Paul Electronics, established in 1947, provides through worldwide distribution a broad range of standard and miniature solenoid valves, explosion proof, high-flow and high pressure models – most UL and CSA listed; complementary manifolds and stacking bodies in stainless, brass or aluminum; solenoid valve operators for OEM use; and a vast array of body, housing and coil options for standard and special applications.
