November 30, 2004 - TradeMaster® Keystone Wall Plates and Decorator Frames accept any combination of UTP and multimedia jack modules. Modules are available with F connectors for video coax cable; Category 5e jacks for data, telephone, camera, and audio; binding posts for speaker wiring; RCA to F connectors for sub-woofer pre-out; and blank modules to fill unused jack module spaces. Wall plates and frames come in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 port variants in ivory, light almond, and white.

New wall plates and decorator frames with interchangeable jack modules provide increased flexibility for home networking

SYRACUSE, N.Y. October 18, 2004 — Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical and network wiring devices, today announced the introduction of its new TradeMaster Keystone Wall Plates and Decorator Frames with interchangeable Keystone Category 5e and Multimedia Jack Modules, the latest addition to the TradeMaster family of residential products.

The P&S TradeMaster Keystone Wall Plates and Decorator Frames provide the Installer with another choice in home networking wall outlets that offer a number of benefits in installation. This series, which offers flexibility of accepts any combination of P&S Keystone UTP and Multimedia Jack Modules. Modules are available with F connectors for video coax cable; Category 5e jacks for data, telephone, camera and audio; binding posts for speaker wiring; RCA to F connectors for sub-woofer pre-out; and blank modules to fill unused jack module spaces in the wall plates. The new keystone series is rear loading, allowing connections to made prior to trim-out. Another benefit making these easier to work with is that the UTP connections are available with T568A wiring – making it very easy to ensure continuity with RJ45 plug wiring per the TIA standard. The wall plates and frames are available in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 port variants in the colors of ivory, light almond and white with a smooth, polished look that fits any décor and matches that of the standard P&S residential wiring devices.

The wall plates provide better coverage than standard plates by providing an extra 3/16” more width and height, reducing time-consuming drywall rework after installation. .
