Vibration-Free Platforms Provide Inexpensive, Portable Vibration Control

BOSTON, MA — Kinetic Systems’ 2200 Series BenchMate vibration-free platforms are designed to enhance the performance of atomic force microscopes, microhardness testers, profilometers, balances, audio components, and other precision tabletop equipment. The 2200 Series platforms are available in three different models, each providing application-specific vibration control with low natural frequency.

The Model 2210 features excellent vertical vibration control and uses a passive-air design that can be operated with an optional hand pump if an air source is not available.

The Model 2212 BenchMate also features excellent vertical vibration control. However, it uses a self-leveling, active-air unit and is recommended for more regular use.

The Model 2214 BenchMate offers excellent vertical vibration control and an enhanced, multistage horizontal isolation feature. It is recommended for applications where both vertical and horizontal vibrations are a problem. The 2214 is also a self-leveling, active-air unit that must be connected to a compressor.

Four table sizes are available up to 24” x 36”, and table capacities range up to 450 lbs. BenchMates are Class 100 cleanroom compatible, with Class 10 available as an option. Tabletops are available with or without mounting holes, which can be tapped on an English (¼-20 x 1”) or metric (M6 x 25mm) grid. Tops with mounting holes are available with Kinetic Systems’ proprietary SPILLPRUF™ design, where entire rows of the holes are sealed off to protect the honeycomb core from accidental spills. Other available tabletop surfaces are white or black plastic laminate and white antistatic laminate.

Kinetic Systems, Inc., is a leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of vibration isolation equipment, optical tables, and related components used in a wide range of industries worldwide, including research and development, quality control, laboratories, and semiconductor manufacturing.
