New Guardianâ„¢ Variable Speed Drive is an Effective Digital Solution for Production Control

Willis, Texas – R&M Energy Systems has released its new Guardian™ Variable Speed Drive (VSD), an effective digital solution for production control. The Guardian VSD provides the operator complete control and monitoring of progressing cavity pump systems. A combination of precise torque and speed control in a single durable package is the key to providing maximum production, energy efficiency and total protection of PC pumping systems.

The proprietary software offered in the Guardian incorporates a complete model of the total PC pumping system. The highly effective sensorless control protects down-hole equipment and maximizes production by providing continuous feedback of torque, speed, pump efficiency, fluid rate and estimated down-hole pressure.

Fluid level over the pump intake is controlled with manual speed adjustments, or automatically with the system software. The Guardian’s pump-off control capability maximizes well production for any given inflow characteristic. The system saves energy with a power optimizer to reduce electric utility costs in any inflow rate.

Other Guardian VSD Features Include:

· Down-hole pump, motor and rod speed and torque monitors

· Pump flow monitor and production accumulator

· Embedded rod string, tubing, casing, reservoir and pump model

· Fluid level monitor and control

· Interface software for remote monitoring by network servers
