IMS Introduces SMT “T” Pad Attenuator for RF, Microwave

Portsmouth, Rhode Island, USA – International Manufacturing Services, Inc. (IMS), a leading manufacturer of high quality thick film resistors and substrates to the electronics industry, announces the introduction of its new IMA303 surface mount thick film "T" pad attenuator especially suited to RF and microwave applications.

The IMA303 “T”-pad thick film attenuator is operational to 4 GHz. It is available from 1 dB to 20 dB in 1 dB steps. Power handling on input is 2W (using proper thermal management techniques). The attenuator is comprised of an alumina substrate with dimensions of 0.145" length, 0.122" width and 0.020" thickness. Impedance is 50 Ohms on input and output with a VSWR of 1.25:1 at dc to 4 GHz.

IMS’ semi-custom series of passive thick film attenuators, low pass filters, and power splitters were created specifically for applications that are too “finicky” for off the shelf components. These devices employ a proprietary core design that can be quickly and inexpensively adapted to individual circuit requirements.

Since 1974, IMS has supplied the electronics manufacturing industry with highest quality thick and thin film chip resistors and chip attenuators.
