New DN3S06-Four Channel Steering Diode Array Provides ESD Protection

Bradford, PA – October 5, 2004 – KOA Speer Electronics introduces DN3S06 diode array to its family of integrated passive devices. This four channel steering diode array is ideal for applications requiring active conditioning of high speed I/O signals. The DN3S06 features a unique design that offers the dual function of providing ESD suppression for critical machine interface applications.

KOA Speer's DN3S06 has a low capacitance (2pF Typ.) with ±15kV contact discharge ESD sinking capability and a miniature SOT-23-6 package. They are available in 3000 pcs on 7 in. plastic embossed carrier tape reels.

The DN3S06 has many applications for manufacturers of computers, servers, disc drives, PDA's, cellphones, GPS equipment and removable storage devices. These applications include peripheral and host equipment that use IEEE 1394 firewire ports, USB 2.0 ports, ethernet or gigabit ports or 1284 for data transfer standards, as well as wireless transmitters and general purpose ESD protection. Samples are readily available and production orders take nine weeks.

KOA Speer Electronics is a QS 9000, ISO 9002 certified company that has been serving the electronics industry since 1980. An affiliate of KOA Corporation of Japan, KOA Speer is a leading supplier of surface mount and thru-hole resistors, capacitors, circuit protection devices, inductors, resistor networks, integrated passive components, and EMI/EMC filtering components. These products are distributed primarily to the North American market for applications including automotive, telecommunications, computer and instrumentation.
