Soft Solids Tester is available with custom vane spindles.

October 26, 2004 - Model R/S-SST Rheometer measures viscosity and yield stress behavior in gels, pastes, and liquid/semi-solid materials with suspended particles. Users can specify custom vane spindles with geometries designed to accommodate specific fluid without compromising sample structure. Rotational motion of vane spindles is also useful for testing low-viscosity slurries. Unit also quantifies viscoelastic properties such as stiffness, consistency, and texture.

Custom Vane Spindles for Brookfield's Soft Solids Tester Can Solve Your Viscosity Measurement Challenges

Middleboro, MA It is now possible to have the team at Brookfield Engineering Labs custom design a vane spindle to accommodate your fluid. Vane spindles are used with the Brookfield R/S-SST Rheometer, a soft solids test instrument that measures viscosity and yield stress behavior in gels, pastes and liquid/semi-solid materials with suspended particles.

Vane spindle geometry allows the spindle to be inserted into the material without compromising the sample structure. In addition, the rotational motion of vane spindles may be useful for testing low viscosity slurries. The R/S-SST with vane spindles provide not only viscosity and shear stress measurements, but also quantifies viscoelastic properties such as stiffness, consistency and texture.

Custom vane spindles enable manufacturers to QC test a wide variety of fluids which cannot be tested with more conventional viscometers and rheometers.
