Little Giant® Introduces New Line of Energy Saving Pumps
OKLAHOMA CITY – Little Giant® Pump Company has introduced a new line of energy-saving submersible pumps designed for the professional plumbing contractor. New Energy Saving (ES) Series pumps are fully submersible sump/effluent and sewage pumps that are more energy efficient than other similar pumps. While ES Series pumps draw less energy, their innovative design enables these pumps to deliver greater flow and overall performance. Over the lifespan of an ES Series pump, users can realize hundreds of dollars in energy savings.
Little Giant® offers ES Series pumps in four sizes: the ES33 (1/3 HP), with 3/8-inch solids handling capability; and the ES40 (4/10 HP), ES50 (1/2 HP) and ES60 (6/10 HP), with 2-inch solids handling capability. Pump performance ranges from 40 GPM at 10 feet for the 1/3-HP Model ES33 to 127 GPM at 10 feet for the 6/10-HP Model ES60.
The key to the energy-saving design of ES Series pumps is a powerful permanent split capacitor (PSC) electric motor. It provides high starting and running torque with an energy-conserving low amperage draw.
The rugged cast iron pump housing has an epoxy coating to help resist corrosion. Stainless steel screws and bolts also protect against corrosion. The motor housing is oil-filled to provide maximum heat dissipation and lifetime bearing lubrication.
The ES33, ES40, and ES50 Series pump models have engineered thermoplastic vortex type impellers. The ES60 pump has a cast iron 2-vane non-clog impeller. Automatic operation is achieved with a choice of diaphragm, wide angle, or vertical mechanical switches, all with “piggyback” style plugs. Thermal overload protection and mechanical seals help protect against pump failure.
ES Series submersible pumps are available from Little Giant distributors worldwide.
Little Giant Pump Company is the nation’s leading manufacturer of self-contained electric motor-driven submersible pumps.
