October 15, 2004 - With on-board networking capabilities for integration into networked systems, self-contained Model WJ-HD220 provides 8 channel inputs plus camera control functionality. It offers 120 Gb recording capacity, pre-alarm screening, time lapse recording, as well as playback and monitoring capabilities. Featuring coax control up to 3,000 feet using Panasonic VD2 for dome camera pan/tilt/zoom operations, DVR also provides electronic zoom with multi-screen or spot monitoring.

New DVR Features 8-Channel Input With Pan/Tilt/Zoom Dome Camera Control.

Dallas, TX (September 27, 2004) – Panasonic Security Systems is displaying the latest addition to the company’s comprehensive line of DVR solutions here at ASIS 2004. The new WJ-HD220 DVR is designed for stand-alone operations and provides an ideal replacement for a wide range of system applications using VCRs. The new DVR is a self-contained system with 8 inputs plus camera control and networking capabilities.

“The WJ-HD220 DVR is an important addition to Panasonic’s DVR line of recording solutions since it fills an important application niche, especially for small systems operations,” said Frank Abram, Vice President, Panasonic Security Systems. “In addition, the WJ-HD220 DVR provides a transitional replacement for VCRs in those applications requiring a cost-effective digital recording solution.”

Panasonic’s new WJ-HD220 DVR delivers a wide range of performance features including a 120GB recording capacity that can be expanded to 240GB with the addition of a second drive; pre-alarm screening; time lapse recording; up the coax control up to 3000 feet using Panasonic VD2 for control of Panasonic dome camera pan/tilt/zoom operations; electronic zoom; simultaneous recording, playback and monitoring capability; multi-screen or spot monitoring; and time/date and list search capabilities.

In addition, the unit features on-board networking capabilities for integration into networked systems which allows the unit to be configured in a wide range of systems applications employing distributed architecture.
