XYZ travel in compact floor-stand system, multi-sensor SmartScope® Flash™ 500 features AccuCentric® 12x zoom lens, which is automatically calibrated at every magnification change. Optical assembly moves in X-axis across angled steel crossbeam, while part moves in Y-axis on servo-driven stage. Granite platform ensures proper damping and structural integrity. Illumination sources include LED SmartRing™, coaxial surface illuminator, and LED backlight.

OGP Announces SmartScope Flash 500 - Large Travel, Low Cost Automatic Measurement System

Rochester, NY, September, 2004 - Optical Gaging Products, Inc. (OGP®) announces a new member of the company's popular SmartScope® Flash™ family of multi-sensor measurement systems. At the request of budget-conscious customers looking for Flash capabilities with a large measurement volume and small system footprint, the new SmartScope Flash 500 offers a large 20x18x8 inch (500x450x200 mm) XYZ travel in a compact floor stand system at an attractive price.

SmartScope Flash 500 offers a number of unique features that ensure measurement accuracy. The system's optical assembly moves in the X-axis across an angled steel crossbeam while the part moves in the Y-axis on a precision servo-driven stage. A stable granite platform ensures proper damping and structural integrity. Integral system electronics minimize the system footprint while maximizing available stage travel.

Like other SmartScope Flash systems, SmartScope Flash 500 includes the patented AccuCentric® 12x zoom lens that is automatically calibrated at every magnification change. Multiple illumination sources include the patented LED SmartRing™ light, coaxial (TTL) surface illuminator, and LED back light. Multi-sensor capable, the system can be configured with a touch probe, laser scanner, or OGP micro-probes.

Powered by the user's choice of OGP's exclusive measurement software packages, SmartScope Flash 500 uses point-and-click tools to simplify the creation and operation of automatic measurement routines. System capabilities are further enhanced with software options that include form fitting, SPC, CAD translation, and custom report writing. SmartScope Flash 500 allows users to take full advantage of multiple sensors to thoroughly measure complex parts.
