September 28, 2004 - Model MCH-100C Battery Powered Heat Gun Kit features 1¼ lb, hand-held tool that reaches 1,100°F and has built-in motor with fan to provide 2.66 cfm air flow. Equipped with 48 V rechargeable battery and interchangeable 200-400 W heating element, unit allows testing of heat sensors and fire alarms without an open flame.

Battery Powered Heat Gun Tests Heat Sensors Quickly and Safely


A new battery powered heat gun for testing heat sensors that eliminates open flames or using electric heat guns with their cumbersome power cords is being introduced by Malcom Hot Air Systems of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

The Malcom MCH-100C Battery Powered Heat Gun Kit features a lightweight, hand-held tool that reaches 1,100°F and has a built-in motor with a fan to provide 2.66 CFM air flow. Supplied with a 48 V rechargeable battery in a handy shoulder pack, the heat gun has a 9 ft. cord and is ideal for testing heat sensors and fire alarms quickly and safely without an open flame.

Easily carried on-site, the Malcom MCH-100C Battery Powered Heat Gun Kit includes a battery charger and shoulder pack. Offered with interchangeable 200 to 400 Watt heating elements, this battery powered tool weighs 1-¼ lbs. and can accept a variety of nozzles for plastic welding, shrink wrapping, repairing tents, tarps, inflatable boats, and soldering, and de-soldering.

The Malcom MCH-100C Battery Powered Heat Gun Kit is priced at $1,495.00 complete. Literature is available upon request.
