Revolutionary New Upright Snipsâ„¢ Aviation Snip Improves Sheet Metal Cutting

Sturgis Michigan, August 15, 2004 -- Midwest Tool And Cutlery Company has introduced the Upright Snips™, a revolutionary new compound leverage aviation snip that significantly improves cutting sheet metal and other materials for the contractor, tradesman and do-it-yourself user. Available in both right and left cutting models, the Upright Snips™ incorporate a patent pending right angle 90° handle to blade design.

The benefits of this revolutionary patent pending design are: a unique push or pull cutting motion; the ability to turn or rotate the snip in the hand while cutting circles; and improved ergonomics. The result is easier cutting in tight spaces, overhead and at waist level because there is no bending or breaking of the wrist. The snips provide improved safety by elevating hands above metal working surfaces. Faster, easier and safer cutting leads to improved productivity, which is a key benefit for professional and do-it-yourself users alike.

Upright Snips™ are rated to cut 24-gauge sheet metal (26-gauge stainless steel) and incorporate the same quality features and components as all Midwest Snips® aviation snips. These include: unbreakable forged molybdenum steel blades; a threaded center pivot bolt to keep blades in adjustment; heavy duty double overwind spring; soft copolymer grips; and ergonomic, strong handles with an optimum 5½-in. spread.
