Logansport Matsumoto at IMTS 2004 (Booth E-2055); WDF Series "Deflashing/Degating" Wheel Chuck for Premachining Operations

Logansport, IN - On display for the first time at IMTS 2004 (September 8th - 15th, Chicago's McCormick Place). Logansport Matsumoto Company (LMC) has recently added a WDF Deflash/Degate Wheel Chuck to their comprehensive line of Quick Change Wheel Chucks.

For pre-machining operations, the WDF series is designed to remove the flash and gating out of cast aluminum wheels when ran on an automated wheel lathe. The WDF Series helps to improve part material handling requirements and leads to increased tooling life. Overall part quality is improved due to increased consistency of heat treat operations and by eliminating flashing that can cause problems in painted wheels.

Chucking diameters ranging from 15" to 24" wheel diameters—and various wheel sizes can be handled by a single chuck.

ON THE LMC WHEEL CHUCK SERIES

Available in numerous clamping configurations/sizes, LMC's Wheel Chuck Series of automobile, truck, motorcycle and bus wheel chucks handle some of the most difficult wheel turning applications in the industry. The wheel chucks are available with a variety of tooling options, many of them specific to individual wheels.

WTi Series wheel chucks fit automobiles, heavy and light truck wheels, and bus wheels ranging in size from 11" to 25". These chucks deliver a RPM range of up to 2800 RPM.
The LMC WWi Series wheel chucks are designed specifically for manufacturing motorcycle wheels (capacity ranging in size from 13" to 20").

Designed for automobiles and light truck wheel manufacturing, the WTiQ Series quick setup wheel chucks are ideal for aftermarket wheel manufacturers and OEM suppliers who handle short-run specialty wheels. They have a wheel diameter capacity ranging from 13" to 25" and a maximum 2800 RPM.

LMC also offers a line of extremely light, short and fast chuck actuators to accompany the wheel chucks.

The entire LMC Workholding line includes...

• LMC and Matsumoto hydraulic power chucks, cylinders and wheel chucks;

• LMC Rotary tables for single and multiple axis CMC turning, EDM and other machining applications;

• Atling Steady Rests;

• Neidlein face divers, as well as live and dead centers.
