Test Suite supports Pronghorn Wi-Fi application platform.

Software provides diagnostic and manufacturing test capabilities to manufacturers who build WLAN products using ADI's Intel® IXP42x(TM)-based 802.11 Application Platform. ADI Pronghorn equips WLAN equipment manufacturers with plug-and-play product solution to facilitate introduction of wireless solutions to market. Available for direct OEM production or as evaluation kit, product validates WAN: Ethernet PHY and Ethernet PHY with power over Ethernet and 802.11 b/g wireless.

Kozio test suite supports diagnostic and manufacturing test for ADI's Intel® IXP42x-based 802.11 Application Platform
Longmont, CO, September 8, 2004 - Kozio, Inc., a developer of embedded systems software, has introduced a new software release supporting ADI Engineering's Pronghorn 802.11 Application Platform based on the Intel® IXP42x. Kozio's test software now ships with this ADI product, providing diagnostic and manufacturing test capabilities to manufacturers who build WLAN products using Pronghorn.

The ADI Pronghorn is designed to provide WLAN equipment manufacturers with a "plug-and-play" product solution to help them bring wireless solutions to market quickly. Optimized for low-cost volume manufacturability, Pronghorn is available for direct OEM production, or as an evaluation kit. ADI Engineering can also provide customized versions of Pronghorn tailored to a customer's specific application.
Manufacturers that build products that leverage the Pronghorn platform can rely on Kozio embedded systems test software to validate the following components for diagnostics and manufacturing test:
Intel® IXP42xTM network processor
WAN: Ethernet PHY
WAN: Ethernet PHY with power over Ethernet
802.11 b/g wireless
Flash memory 4 to 32 MB
SDRAM 16 to 64 MB
MiniPCI Type III
Kozio also supports testing of additional peripherals and subsystem designs available in ADI's library of pre-validated IP building blocks for the IXP425. Kozio test support of ADI's IP library provides OEMs a comprehensive design and production solution for popular IXP425 subsystems:
