Pocket Detective 3.0 measures both Visible Light Transmission and Visible Light Reflectance. Operating from 1,600 mAh internal battery, unit includes Magna-Alignment(TM) auto alignment system, pushbutton operation, LCD digital readout, panel-light function indicators, and auto shut-off. Instrument measures all windows of vehicle, including roll-down and fixed glass. It is also suited for measuring opacity or clarity of plastic substrates.

The Pocket Detective 3.0 Window Tint Meter offers unprecedented accuracy and reliability. This device offers solutions for both Visible Light Transmission (VLT) measurements along with
Visible Light Reflectance (VLR) measurements. VLT is in reference to the percentage of light transmitted through glass and VLR is in reference to the amount of light reflected.
The function of measuring reflectance is important for today's law enforcement and inspection facilities to insure proper visibility for the safety of the driver and public safety officials.
Other Uses
The PD 3.0 can be used to measure optical properties of varying materials. Pocket Detectives have been used to measure opacity or clarity of glass and plastic substrates. Additionally the
PD 3.0 will measure reflective values on glass, plastic, including metalized or organic coatings.
