Lubricant prevents frost and corrosion in pneumatic tools.

September 8, 2004 - KilfrostĀ® provides needed lubrication to air tools, absorbs air line moisture, and lowers tool's freezing point. Fluid maintains tight grip on working surfaces, reducing lubricant consumption and lubricating cycles. Able to lock-up moisture, product prevents equipment corrosion year-round in wet or humid conditions and is also useful in underground operations. Semi-synthetic formula is non-toxic, non-flammable, and non-corrosive.

Frost & Corrosion in Pneumatic Tools Prevented by KilfrostĀ® Lubricant

Linden, NJ, (August 27, 2004): The compression of air produces moisture that collects in air lines and on air tool surfaces and fittings. Such tools are often kept on the job site in unheated storage and, during cold weather, the moisture often freezes solid overnight and makes the air tools inoperable the next morning.

This problem can be eliminated by using Kilfrost, a fluid that provides needed lubrication to the air tool but also absorbs air line moisture and lowers its freezing point. This prevents tool freeze up very effectively.

Not just an additive, Kilfrost maintains a tight grip on working surfaces because of its high film strength and its ability to function under extreme pressure. Since it cannot easily be blown out of the tool, it tends to reduce lubricant consumption and lubricating cycles. This lubricant also locks up moisture, so it is useful year-round in wet or humid conditions to prevent corrosion in equipment.

It also prevents dieseling in rock drills and other equipment and is therefore useful for underground operations or where gas leaks might occur.

The Kilfrost formula is semi-synthetic and will not affect polycarbonate bowls or polyurethane or buna seals. It's non-toxic, non-flammable and non-corrosive, making it ideal for all types of pneumatic equipment and tools.
