New Sizes of Delavan® Cool-Cast™ Nozzle Systems Set for Introduction at Nashville Steel Show

Delavan® has added new sizes to its line of Cool-Cast™ nozzle and lance systems for metals manufacturing. The company will feature Cool-Cast products at its display, No. 933, at the Steel Cast Show in Nashville’s Opryland Convention Centre September 15-17.

Now available in 12 sizes, the Cool-Cast nozzle system produces a rectangular pattern with spray angles between 60 and 120i. The nozzles’ highly consistent droplets in the 130 to 200 micron range enhance control of the cooling process.

Cool-Cast nozzles save energy by drawing lower air compressor loads than other brands. Their wide-passage design reduces plugging problems. Machined stainless steel components in the nozzles improve dimensional stability and extend service life. Straight or angled lances are available.

Delavan is offering a mini-version -- without a lance and with a body-mounted nozzle – for locations where space is severely limited. Water flow rates range from 2.50 to 8.00 U.S. gallons per minute (9.5 to 30 liters per minute). The nozzles deliver airflows from 7 to 24.5 standard cubic feet per minute (11.9 to 41.6 cubic meters per hour).

A division of Goodrich, Delavan Spray Technologies is one of the world’s largest producers of top-quality spray nozzles, atomizers and fluid handling systems. The company distributes 30,000 varieties of nozzles and coordinates technical support through its comprehensive national network of distributors.
