Control Cables withstand over 10 million flex cycles.

August 24, 2004 - Tested to exceed 10 million bending and torsional flex cycles, EnduroFLEX® XM Series features core design that withstands abuses from heat generated by friction from constant motion. Non-paired industrial control cables are rated 300 V and include XM versions with TPE outer jacket for resistance to liquids and abrasion. Also available, CRXM versions have elastomer outer jacket designed for continuous operation in extreme oil and chemical environments.

Northwire EnduroFLEX® XM Series Cables Withstand 10 Million+ Flex Cycles

Osceola, WI–August 23, 2003–Northwire Inc. has announced new EnduroFLEX® XM Series industrial control cables that are test-proven to exceed 10 million bending and torsional flex cycles. Northwire EnduroFLEX XM Series cables feature a special core design to withstand the abuses from heat generated by friction from constant motion that will cause ordinary cables to fail.

This family of 300V non-paired industrial control cables includes XM versions, which feature a TPE outer jacket for excellent resistance to liquids and abrasions in the manufacturing plant, and CRXM versions that feature a high performance elastomer outer jacket designed for continuous operation in extreme oil and chemical environments. "Sunlight, temperature extremes, oil, chemicals and highly-abrasive hot welding slag can all cause premature failure of a cable's outer jacket -especially on a continuous motion application where the effects of these abuses are compounded by the constant bending and flexing of the cable," said Ted Beach, National Sales Manager for Northwire. "Once the integrity of a cable's jacket is compromised, moisture or other debris can then easily infiltrate flaws in the outer jacket and cause poor performance, corrosion, resistance or outright failure," Beach added.

EnduroFLEX XM Series cables are ideal for manufacturing robots, material handling, assembly machinery, biotechnology applications, food/beverage, semiconductor manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Northwire Inc. is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of industrial and medical grade technical cable. Products include custom and standard designs, highest flexibility and flex life, resistance to heat, cold, chemicals, gases, and solvents and shielded against EMI and impact. Most designs are also available in retractile configurations. For further information, contact: Northwire Inc., 110 Prospect Way, Osceola, WI 54020.
