Novacel 9019 Film, an Ideal Surface Protection Solution for the Flat Screen Market

The French company Novacel, a world leader in industrial surface protection solutions is now introducing Novacel 9019, a film specially designed for the protection of plastic sheets and foils used for the manufacturing of flat screens. This new film is ideal for laptop computers, LCD screens, plasma screens, PDAs, and cell phones.

Novacel 9019 is a clear transparent, 100 microns thick, coextruded protective film with a polyolefine base used to protect flat screens against scratches and dirt during assembly, handling, storage and transport. It is applied to a clean and dry surface at a temperature between 100 and 200°F, and can remain on polycarbonate, pure polystyrene, PVC and other plastic sheets while undergoing heat treatment before and during thermoforming. No adhesive residue remains on the surface after removing the film from the screen.

The film is supplied in rolls of 3,280 ft. and is also available in other thicknesses: 30 µm, 40 µm and 50 µm. Company trademarks, logos, advertising messages or technical information can be printed on it in one or two colors.

The company will exhibit its surface protection solutions, including the new Novacel 9019 film, at several international tradeshows in 2004: Kunststoff in Düsseldorf, Germany, (October 20-27, booth 72G07), EUROBLECH in Hanover, Germany (October 26-30, booth 13E88), and EMBALLAGE in Paris, France (November 22-26, booth 6A016). Novacel is present in over sixty countries on the five continents, has a North American subsidiary, Novacel Inc., and is currently seeking business contacts in both the United States and Canada.
