Light Towers provide safety for workers.

Genie® Trailer-Mounted Light Towers Shed Light On Your Worksite

REDMOND, WA. (August 9, 2004) - Shed light on your worksite with Genie's trailer-mounted light towers. The TML(tm)-4000N features a narrow 55-inch (1.40 m) width and the TML(tm)-4000 has a 70-inch (1.78 m) width. UHMW slide pads are used throughout the entire tower to prevent metal-to-metal contact and subsequent rust and corrosion. The tower assembly also features a clean and protected power cable path.

Innovative features include Genie's patented tilt-actuating system. This system provides the ability to vertically aim all four lamp fixtures from ground level, significantly reducing the need to lower the tower in order to re-aim the lamps. This feature, combined with 360-degree tower rotation, provides unprecedented lamp aiming capability. The "tool-less" Quick-Aim(tm) lamp adjustment system, another exclusive Genie feature, allows the operator to quickly and easily aim each lamp for light where you need it.

Another unique feature of the Genie TML is the parallel (horizontally) mounted metal halide lamps enclosed in durable cast aluminum fixtures. Horizontally mounted bulbs produce far greater light output than co-axial (vertically) mounted bulbs typically found on other light towers. Independent testing has shown that the light output of the Genie TML-4000 and TML-4000N is superior to competitive models. There are four 1,000-watt metal halide lights on each tower. A spring-loaded, shock-absorbing lamp mounting crossbar protects bulbs from damage against extreme towing conditions.

A convenient automatic tower storage latch system provides hassle-free locking of the telescopic mast sections when the tower is in the stowed position. In addition, an automatic latch system engages when the tower is placed in the deployed position.

Both models feature Genie's field-proven fold-down outrigger system. This system provides the ability to stabilize the machine on inclines and uneven surfaces, is significantly less susceptible to damage, and provides superior leveling capability compared to conventional slide-out style outriggers. The TML-4000 and TML-4000N's superior stability provides operational wind speed ratings of up to 60 mph (97 km/h).

The Genie light towers feature a 6-kilowatt generator powered by a Deutz 3-cylinder 14.3 HP water-cooled diesel engine. The TML-4000N features a 30-gallon fuel tank and can run continuously for 60 hours between refueling. The TML-4000 provides an industry leading run time of 100 hours between refueling.

Genie's light towers are easily towed behind vehicles and feature a 2-inch ball and combination hitch options. The maximum towing speed rating for both models is 60 mph (97 km/h).

The TML-4000 and TML-4000N also feature a heavy-gauge steel trailer chassis for years of dependable service, and their impact resistant, double wall polyurethane fenders are resistant to rust. A polyethylene fuel tank provides rust-free, leak-free performance throughout the life of the unit.

Both models are equipped with convenient power receptacles allowing them to be used as light duty generators as well as light towers. Oversized forklift pockets and tie down points are provided for easy loading and unloading on and off delivery vehicles. Ten TML-4000Ns can be shipped simultaneously on a 102" wide trailer.
