Coolants suit water-cooled cutting and welding torches.
August 10, 2004 -
Freeze-resistant, propylene glycol based Extra Cool(TM), Ultra Cool(TM), and Extreme Cool(TM) resist freezing down to +10°F, -27°F, and -65°F, respectively. De-I Cool(TM) deionized water mixture is for applications where temperatures always exceed 40°F. Coolants include corrosion inhibitors to protect copper in torch heads and cooling systems to ensure that coolant remains high in resistance. All are suited for MIG and TIG torches as well as other recirculated cooling applications.

Thermal Dynamics® Introduces New Torch Coolants
St. Louis - August 5, 2004 - Thermal Dynamics® has introduced four new environmentally friendly torch coolants recommended for use with any water-cooled cutting and welding torch. The new torch coolants include three new, freeze resistant Propylene Glycol (PG)-based coolants and a new De-Ionized Water mixture.
The new freeze-resistant PG-based coolants are named Extra Cool(TM), Ultra Cool(TM) and Extreme Cool(TM). Extra Cool resists freezing down to +10°F (-12°C). Ultra Cool protects down to -27°F (-33°C). Extreme Cool resists freezing down to -65°F (-51 °C). PG-based coolants replace previously used Ethylene Glycol (EG)-based coolants without any substitution or performance problems. PG- and EG-based coolants may be mixed.
De-I Cool(TM) is a totally new offering to the market. De-I Cool is a de-ionized water mixture specially designed to offer the best heat removal characteristics and to be used in applications where temperatures always exceed +40°F (+4°C).
Thermal Dynamics torch coolants meet or exceed the specific resistivity requirements of most high performance cutting and welding torches used in the industry. Special corrosion inhibitors are used to protect the copper in torch heads and cooling systems to ensure that the coolant will remain high in resistance. All torch coolants may be used with plasma welding and cutting torches, MIG and TIG torches and in other recirculated cooling applications.
