High Power SMT Wilkinson Power Dividers

Florida RF Labs, a Smiths Interconnect company, has recently introduced a range of surface mount power dividers. The new devices offer design engineers the benefits of 2-way, 3-way or 4-way power division. All power dividers feature excellent port to port isolation capabilities.

The HybriX® P2S50D surface mount power divider features a Wilkinson circuit for 2-way power division and provides in phase 3dB power division for the frequency band from 800 to 1000 MHz. It is manufactured from ceramic material, which allows higher power dissipation. The device is an ideal solution for power splitter or combiner applications in AMPS, GSM and narrowband GPS systems. The P2S50D benefits from a high 50W power rating, excellent isolation capabilities of 16dB and its small size of only 0.650 x 0.480 inches (16.51 x 12.19 mm).

The HybriX® P2D50J is a surface mount power divider utilizing a Wilkinson circuit for 2-way power division. It provides in phase 3dB power division for the frequency band from 1.7 to 2.0 GHz. Manufactured from ceramic material for high power dissipation, the P2D50J is designed for power splitter or combiner applications in PCS and 2G systems. It features 50W power rating, first-rate isolation capabilities of 20dB and a small size of 0.560 x 0.350 inches (14.22 x 8.89 mm).

The HybriX® P3S35L surface mount power divider is based on a Wilkinson circuit for 3-way power division. The power divider is suitable for power splitter or combiner applications especially in PCS, 2.5G, 3G and UMTS systems. The device provides in phase 4.77 dB power division over the 2.0 to 2.4 GHz frequency band. Features include very good isolation capabilities of 19dB minimum, high power rating of 35W and small size of 0.65 x 0.48 inches (16.51 x 12.19 mm). Key to the high performance of the P3S35L power divider is the use of a ceramic substrate that enables higher power dissipation levels.

The P4L50G surface mount power divider features a Wilkinson circuit for 4-way power division. It is designed for power splitter and power combiner applications in PCS and 2G systems and provides in phase 6dB power division for the frequency band of 1300 to 2000 MHz. Manufactured from alumina ceramic for higher power dissipation, the P4L50G features a high 50W power rating, excellent isolation capabilities of 13dB minimum and a small size of 0.875 x 0.480 inches (22.22 x 12.19 mm).
