Micro Compression Tester for Precise Strength Measurements
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced the MCT-W Series Micro Compression Testing Machines. Two models are available with measurement range up to 100 µm and resolution of 0.001 µm depending on options. Two test forces with maximum loads of 4900 mN and 1960 mN, and precision of less than ± 1% provide the ideal system for evaluating the compression strength of micro substances, including ceramic and resin particles, fine powders and fibers, pharmaceuticals, and pigments.
Designed for ease of use, Shimadzu's MCT-W Series features a standard overhead specimen dimension measurement function for easy determination of a specimen's diameter and length, and a sliding stage with click-stop mechanism for accurate positioning. The machines also include a vertical stage-shift handle and an X-Y Stage that can be shifted in precise increments of 0.01 mm. Numerous data processing functions enable the display of test force, displacement, and strength for easy graphical comparison and analysis.
