Rubber/Ceramic Liners handle highly abrasive applications.

July 21, 2004 - Available in staggered- and aligned-ceramic designs, Dur-X-Line® of Rubber/Ceramic Liners help extend chute life while minimizing liner replacement, maintenance, and downtime in aggregate and mining applications. Products feature alumina ceramic cylinders within liner and rubber backing that absorbs impact and prevents ceramic from shattering. Liners have solid steel backing and can be counter bored for installation via bolts or plug welding.

Durex Rubber/Ceramic Liners Deliver Superior Wear Resistance In Abrasive Aggregate & Mining Applications

LUCK, WI – Durex Products, Inc. has engineered its Dur-X-Line® of Rubber/Ceramic Liners for superior wear resistance in highly abrasive aggregate and mining applications. Delivering 6- to 16-times the wear life of AR 400 plate, plain rubber, or urethane liners – Durex rubber/ceramic liners provide longer chute life, while significantly minimizing liner replacement costs, maintenance expenses and downtime.

Durex rubber/ceramic liners feature high alumina ceramic cylinders within the liner for abrasion resistance, while a resilient rubber backing absorbs impact and prevents the ceramic from shattering. The rubber-to-ceramic bond is highly effective because the rubber product is manufactured in presses at an approximate temperature of 300° F. and pressure over 600 psi, forcing the rubber into the ceramic microstructure and baking it onto the ceramic shapes. This bond prevents the loosening and wearing of ceramic that is typically seen in traditional ceramic liners.

To provide optimal wear life in a variety of applications, Durex rubber/ceramic liners are available in either a staggered- or aligned-ceramic design, depending upon material size and angle of impact. Each liner features a solid steel backing and can be counter bored for installation via bolts or plug welding. Lining systems can be customized for a given application, with all specifications and engineering drawings kept on file for easy, quick reordering of replacement parts.

Founded in 1965, Durex Products, Inc. serves the aggregate, mining, asphalt, and concrete industries as a leading manufacturer of wire cloth, urethane or rubber screening media; screening accessories; and urethane and/or rubber wear parts.
