New Tecspak® Micro Bumpers Provide Superior Shock Absorption, Ideal for End-Of-Stroke Cushioning

ST. CHARLES, IL - With the launch of its new TecsPak® Micro Bumper product line, Miner Elastomer Products Corporation is once again extending its proprietary TecsPak technology to redefine what design engineers can accomplish in developing new energy management devices and systems that prolong the life of machines and equipment.

An innovative thermoplastic elastomer, TecsPak offers higher performance kinetic energy absorption in a smaller mass than inferior technologies - and with longer life. TecsPak is ten times more durable than rubber and 20 times tougher than urethane. Both UV and chemical resistant, TecsPak is ideal for harsh environments, retaining original performance parameters over millions of cycles.

Perfect for end-of-stroke cushioning and other energy-absorbing applications, TecsPak Micro Bumpers feature a performance/mass ratio that makes them ideally suited for mechanisms requiring smaller size and weight. The new TecsPak Micro Bumpers are available in five models. The smallest model, approximately the size of a pencil eraser, has a rated energy capacity of 20 in-lbs (2.2 N-m). The comprehensive full line of TecsPak bumpers includes hundreds of standard sizes and custom configurations, with ratings up to 9,400 ft-lbs (12,700 N-m).

A versatile, proven technology, TecsPak solutions are already being used in some of the most demanding shock absorption challenges imaginable - from railcar draft gears to suspension systems for automotive, mining and heavy off-highway applications. Available in a variety of geometries, configurations and durometers, TecsPak can be molded, drilled, milled, sized and shaped to meet the exact performance criteria required by just about any application demanding high performance in a low volume and weight package.
