Latest Generation of QuadView Display Systems in a New Ruggedized Version

May 17, 2004, Alameda, CA - RGB Spectrum announces a ruggedized version of its top-rated QuadView® series of windowing display systems, the QuadView XLRT. The new QuadView XLRT is ideal for applications requiring display of multiple images on a monitor or projector. It is designed for use in mobile and harsh environments, including tactical operations centers, naval and airborne consoles, military vehicles, aerospace, undersea and geological exploration.

RGB Spectrum's QuadView™ XLRT ruggedized multiple window display processors provide reliable operation and performance in mission critical mobile applications and harsh environments

The QuadView XLRT incorporates a number of structural enhancements for dependable performance under severe conditions. The QuadView XLRT is augmented with a stiffened enclosure, heavy-duty air filters replaceable from the front, fan speed warning indicator, and higher volume air flow. Apart from its high reliability ruggedization, the QuadView XLRT offers the same leading-edge feature set as the commercial QuadView XL model with outstanding image quality, plus new features such as web-based control, dynamic window sizing, borders and titling, and smooth zoom/pans.

The QuadView processor accepts up to sixteen sources, four of which can be displayed simultaneously. The processor supports high resolution RGB, HDTV 1080i/720p, S-Video, component, and composite video, and optional DVI inputs. Each input can be independently sized and positioned anywhere on the screen, as well as panned and zoomed to emphasize particular areas of interest. Display alternatives are virtually infinite, and include side-by-side split screen, picture-in-picture, overlapping windows, and full screen display of any input. The QuadView provides real time, dynamic movement and resizing of display windows.

Set up and operation are fast and easy using the new internet-based Web Control Panel (WCP) software or command line controls from either Ethernet or serial port connection. The built-in Web Control Panel GUI application activates through a standard web browser via Ethernet connection and lets you configure and operate the unit from anywhere. WCP offer user-customizable display configuration presets and fast, simple button controls for zoom, pan, stretch, and more.

User-selectable output settings, up to 1600x1200 resolution in both RGB and DVI format, in 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio, ensure a perfect match with any display. With DVI inputs and outputs, a completely digital signal path is provided from source to display for optimal image quality. For added convenience, dual outputs in both RGB and DVI allow feeding two separate displays. The QuadView XLRT automatically determines the output display's characteristics and optimizes its output signal for that device.

RGB Spectrum's new Web Control Panel™ (WCP) software provides intuitive, simple configuration and control of the new QuadView® XLRT.
