Thin-Film Calorimeter tests inks, coatings, and adhesives.

June 24, 2004 - Model TFC-9000™ uses sensor to measure exothermic heat reaction from polymerizing sample. After 10–20 sec sample analysis, unit displays time to reach peak temperature, peak temperature in BTUs, slope of temperature rise, and total energy emitted by curing reaction in BTUs. Model TFC-9000 works as stand-alone measurement system or can be connected to computer through serial port. Captured data can be exported and plotted to Excel graph for analysis.

UV Process Supply Introduces TFC-9000â„¢

CHICAGO, June 4, 2004 -You need a radiometer to ensure the performance and curing effectiveness of your UV lamps. So, how do you ensure the performance and curing effectiveness of your inks, coatings and adhesives? Up until now, it was mostly guess work. If you had curing problems and had ruled out your UV lamps as the culprit, your next target was most likely your chemistry. But there really was no cost effective and accurate way for you to quantitatively prove or disprove your hunch. That is no longer the case.

UV Process Supply is proud to announce the introduction of CON-TROL-CURE's® TFC-9000â„¢. The Thin Film Calorimeter (or TFC) allows you to test your inks, coatings and adhesives to ensure that they are curing to your expectations and consistently, batch-to-batch. The TFC-9000â„¢ rapidly measures the exothermic heat reaction from a polymerizing sample through a highly sensitive sensor. It performs a rapid analysis of the incoming data to produce meaningful results. After the short 10-20 second sample analysis, the TFC-9000â„¢ displays 4 key measured test results: time to reach peak temperature, peak temperature in BTU's, slope of the temperature rise, and total energy emitted by curing reaction in BTU's. The remarkably affordable TFC-9000â„¢ works as a stand alone measurement system or can be connected to a computer through a serial port. The captured data can be exported and plotted to an Excel graph for quick and easy analysis.

Since 1979, UV Process Supply has provided goods and services for the UV curing market. This latest product introduction reinforces UV Process Supply's position as the complete source for all your UV curing needs.

For more information on the TFC-9000â„¢, contact UV Process Supply at their toll-free number 800-621-1296 or dial 773-248-0099 directly for a customer service representative.
