New Motion Control Chips Available at Lower Cost, Same Quality

Nippon Pulse America, Inc., Radford, VA - (June 16, 2004) Nippon Pulse America introduces the newest members of their PCL series, the PCL61x3 chips. There are three PCL61x3 chips - PCL6113 (1 axis; 80-pin QFP), PCL6123 (2 axes, 128-pin QFP), and PCL6143 (4 axes; 176-pin QFP).

The PCL61x3 chips intelligent design takes over the burdensome motion control workload from the CPU. They generate pulse and direction signals to create various motion provides for stepper and digital servo drivers.

The PCL61x3 chips, 3.3V devices, offer output speeds up to 15 Mpps. The PCL61x3 chips offer linear interpolation, operation status confirmation, "look ahead" buffer, various homing modes, as well as many other features.

Target applications for the PCL61x3 chips are medical/bio-tech stages and lab automation equipment.

The PCL61x3 chips are now ready for shipment. One hundred piece pricing is $20.89 for the PCL6113, $30.82 for the PCL6123, and $47.71 for the PCL6143.

Nippon Pulse America, Inc. is the wholly owned American subsidiary of Nippon Pulse Motor Co., Ltd. Nippon Pulse offers various controllers (boards and chips), drivers (boards and chips), and motors (tin-can and hybrid) to cover almost any stepper motor application.
