Coolant suits high-velocity turning and milling.

June 11, 2004 - Low-foam, non-oil TRIM® SC610 offers high levels of mechanical and chemical lubricity. Clean-running formula has low carry-off and low make-up rates. It is recyclable and can be filtered by gravity or positive media. Since SC610 is based on vegetable-derived ester technology, it is user and environmentally friendly, as it contains no sulfur-based additives, nitrites, sulfonates, APEs, or phenols. Coolant is suited for drilling, reaming, and tapping operations.

Master Chemical Adds High-Velocity Turning and Milling Product to Line of S3* Technology Products

June 7, 2004 (Perrysburg, Ohio) - Master Chemical Corporation has added another fluid to its new, semisynthetic S3* Technology product category. The new product, TRIM® SC610, is a heavy-duty, low-foam, non-oil coolant designed for drilling, reaming, and tapping operations where there is a combination of low-speed, high-torque, down-the-hole work, and high-velocity turning and milling.

The SC610 working solution runs clear and very clean for extended periods, keeping machines and the work environment clean as well. Master Chemical Product Manager, Andy Nelson, says, "SC610 has superior machining performance and has exceeded its design concept goals of a low-foam, clean-running, high-performance machining fluid."

Says Nelson, "SC610 looks to me like a real winner. We tested it on two of the most difficult to machine materials, high silica die cast aluminum and M42 tool steel, and it performed superbly."

SC610 has very, very low carry-off and very, very low cost for long-term applications. It is particularly well-suited for high-strength ferrous metals, super alloys, plus wrought and cast aluminums - everything except gray cast iron.

Among its many attributes, SC610 has very high levels of both mechanical and chemical lubricity. It has very low carry-off and low make-up rates, with long sump life, and is low-foaming and clean-running. In addition, SC610 is easily filtered by gravity or positive media and is easily recycled.

Since SC610 is based on vegetable-derived ester technology, it is extremely user- and environment-friendly, as it contains no sulfur-based additives, nitrites, sulfonates, APEs, or phenols.

SC610 joins the growing family of S3 Technology products. TRIM® SC285, a cutting and grinding fluid designed for extreme-pressure (EP) lubricity in drilling, tapping, reaming, and form-grinding operations, and TRIM® SC410, designed specifically for cast iron, were introduced last year. Master Chemical products featuring S3 Technology are chemically stable, environmentally friendly, and cost effective which means consistent and predictable performance.
