Impeller mixes materials with high shear sensitivity.

June 4, 2004 - Available in fully-welded or bolted designs with different coatings and surface finishes, Sentinel™ Impeller uses blades that deliver uniform distribution of shear throughout mixing process. It is suited for applications where fluid motion is required to suspend solids, dispense gas, or blend fluids in high-flow, low-shear process. It also suits clean-in-place systems with no horizontal surfaces and broad, low-angle vertical projections.

New Sentinel™ Impeller Provides Efficient Mixing of Materials with High Shear Sensitivity

Philadelphia Mixing Solutions, a leading manufacturer of fluid mixing equipment and systems, has announced availability of their new Sentinel™ Impeller (patent pending) for efficient mixing of materials with high shear sensitivity such as polymer production, fermentation, crystallization, and biological growth.

Field-proven in numerous applications, the Sentinel™ features wide, large diameter blades for exceptionally high flow and uniform distribution of shear throughout the mixing process. The impeller is available as a fully-welded or bolted design with different coatings and surface finishes to meet any mixing specifications. Extensive lab, FEA and CFD testing make the Sentinel™ the first choice for applications where fluid motion is required to suspend solids, dispense gas or blend fluids in a high flow, low shear process.

The Sentinel™ also lends itself well to clean-in-place (CIP) systems with no horizontal surfaces and broad, low-angle vertical projections. The impeller can be retrofitted to any existing mixer and easily adapts to varying liquid levels, different vessels, limited flange and manway sizes, and unique mixing configurations.
