May 27, 2004 - BondSeal 0442 consists of synthetic, rubber-based sealant strip that is applied to automotive body areas prior to paint cycle for purposes of gap filling, sealing out liquids, and eliminating unwanted noises. Formulated with blowing agents and curatives, product expands within 5 min of heat exposure in paint bake cycle and fully expands after 20 min at 180°C. It is also available with heat activated film on one side.

Designed to offer exceptional expansion of up to 200%, this synthetic, rubber-based sealant strip is applied to automotive body areas prior to the paint cycle.
Formulated with blowing agents and curatives, BondSeal 0442 expands within 5 minutes of heat exposure in the paint bake cycle and fully expands after 20 minutes at 180°C.
BondSeal 0442 is also available with an optional heat activated film on one side. Effectively single sided for easy handling during assembly, this product acts as a double sided adhesive tape once it is heated, ensuring a strong seal.
