Delavan® Clog-Resistant Variable Coating Nozzles Dramatically Improve Tablet Coating Productivity

Indian Trail N.C. - New Delavan® Variable Coating Nozzles can deliver batch production cycles lasting up to 18 hours (depending on the nature of the liquids being processed) -- more than twice the guaranteed clog-free cycles of conventional tablet coating spray nozzles.

Available for immediate delivery in volume, the new Delavan nozzles provide superior droplet control. They feature independent and remotely controlled spray widths, atomizing air and flow of liquids. They're ideal for use in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and foods.

Delavan's new Variable Coating Nozzles are built with a special internal Air Cap cylinder. The design reduces clogging or "bearding" by sucking out excess coating spray around the nozzle tip. The result is substantially longer, clog-free batch cycles, more consistent runs and reduced maintenance and production downtime. Variable spray widths of the nozzles enhance the wetted area during coating cycles while reducing the potential for over-wetting of any one spot. Spray width is remotely controlled; adjustments can be made manually or automatically with a control panel.

The new nozzles are compact and designed for fast and easy strip-down and re-assembly. With orifice diameters sized from 0.8 to 2.5mm, they feature 316 stainless steel wetted parts and push-in connectors so no special tools are required. Every nozzle supplies an identical droplet spectrum and accommodates a wide range of coating media. The nozzles are produced at ISO 9001 certified Delavan plants.

A division of Goodrich, Delavan Spray Technologies is one of the world's largest producers of top-quality spray nozzles, atomizers and fluid handling systems. The company distributes 30,000 varieties of nozzles and coordinates technical support through its comprehensive national network of distributors.
