May 17, 2004 - Made of drop forged 8630 tool steel, Scratch Awl Marker is 3.5 in. in length tapering to sharp point. It is heat-treated with finely polished finish. Design allows sheet metal workers and other tradesmen to use awl for hole punching by striking on handle-less striking end.

New Midwest SnipsŪ Scratch Awl Marker Stores In Snips Handle

Sturgis, Michigan, May 4, 2004----Midwest Tool & Cutlery Company has introduced a Scratch Awl Marker that can be stored in the handle grips of their Midwest SnipsŪ brand aviation snips. This innovative, industry-first feature makes the awl always conveniently available - by ensuring it's not misplaced - for marking and scribing metal and other materials to be cut with the snips. The awl's design also allows sheet metal workers and other tradesman to use the awl for hole punching by striking it on the handle-less striking end.

Made of drop forged 8630 tool steel, the Scratch Awl Marker is 3.5 inches in length tapering to a sharp, strong point. It also features heat-treating and a finely polished finish.
