Heim Data Systems Offers the DiSC6, the Newest A Series ProductHigh precision, modular data acquisition and storage system,
ideal for automotive, industrial, laboratory, and test cell applications
Heim Data Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of data acquisition equipment, offers the DiSC6, the newest product in the A Series. The DiSC6, a robust, compact, portable unit offering high performance and precision, is designed for automotive, industrial, laboratory, and mobile applications. It is a flexible, high-bandwidth, front-end system for online PC data acquisition, and may also operate as a recorder using optional tape, disk or solid state drives. Unique modular configuration allows choice of signal interfacing, recording media, and power supplies.
The DiSC6 has a highly adaptable architecture with user-configured integral signal conditioning modules for multiple sensors, including ICP, accelerometers, microphones, CAN bus, strain gages and artificial heads. An RPM impulse channel is available for order tracking, as well as both serial and parallel digital channels. There are six signal module slots in the mainframe with an optional extension to 12, providing up to 72 synchronously sampled channels per system. The total system bandwidth is 640kHz, with channel bandwidth from 150 Hz through 200 kHz adjustable on a per module basis. Multiple systems can be time and sample synchronized to provide enhanced channel capacity and system bandwidth. This exceptional flexibility, combined with options such as a laptop PC, allows configuration of a system that can be easily optimized for many different applications.
Recording media options include 50GB AIT2 Drive, 72 GB Hard Drive or Solid State. An integrated time code generator/reader unit with GPS time synchronization ensures accurate annotation and logical access to recorded data.
Configuration and control software is provided, and a non-proprietary API is available for system designers. DiSC6 also offers remote control and configuration via a hand held Cassiopeia. Quick-look data visualization and digital data download via the integrated SCSI and FireWire interfaces can be easily and quickly obtained in file formats directly compatible with all major proprietary analysis applications.
