Compatible with Sound Blaster Pro™ and Microsoft Windows®, plug-and-play card can record, synthesize, compress, store, and play back voice, sound, and music. Based around ESS Technology's AudioDrive™ ES1869F chip, Sonic Audio SP offers 7-channel mixer, 2 W/per channel output, 2 supplemental serial ports, and onboard parallel port.

Parvus Corporation Today Announced its Sonic Audio™ SP

Parvus Corporation today announced its Sonic Audio™ SP, a low-cost, PC/104 form-factor sound card for embedded computer systems that provides two supplemental serial ports and an onboard parallel port. Fully compatible with Sound Blaster Pro™ and Microsoft Windows® audio standards, this plug-and-play audio card is capable of recording, synthesizing, compressing, storing, and playing back voice, sound and music.

Based around ESS Technology's AudioDrive™ ES1869F chip, the Sonic Audio SP offers a 7-channel mixer and powerful 2 watts/per channel output to record, compress and play back CD quality output with programmable sampling frequencies of 4kHz up to 48kHz. Featuring four audio inputs and two outputs, the card supports full-duplex operation for simultaneous recording and playback using two DMA channels.

• Two Serial Ports (1 RS-232, 1 RS-232/422/485) and One Parallel Port (26-pin)

• 20-voice OPL3 Superset ESFM Music-Synthesizer
