Atomizing Nozzle eliminates need for compressed air.

New SDX V Spray Dry Nozzle By Delavan® Spray Technologies Increases Throughput

Indian Trail N.C. - Delavan® Spray Technologies is offering a new version of the world's most specified Simplex spray drying nozzle. Smaller and lighter, the new SDX V features an upgraded internal design (patent pending) that reduces pressure loss through the nozzle.

The new nozzle delivers a hollow cone spray pattern of uniform particle size even at low operating pressures. Compatible with the current SDX range, the nozzle functions efficiently using free-vortex swirl chamber (self locating for easy assembly) technology pioneered by Delavan. Internal check valves are also available for no-drip processing.

Because of its reduced friction, the new SDX V nozzle delivers atomization quality equal to that of conventional slotted-type nozzles -- at 10 to 20 percent lower operating pressure. Lower pressure operation can significantly extend pump life. Flow rates are certified to within +/- 5 percent of rated capacity at 1000 psi. Operating temperatures and pressures can be as high as 700+F and 10,000 psi respectively.

Delavan's patented single inlet spiral swirl chamber offers increased nozzle life, along with improved product uniformity, density and solubility. Delavan’s single inlet design extends the product’s life cycle to three times the conventional slotted inlet nozzle. The nozzle features easy to assemble / interchangeable five-piece construction and tungsten carbide wear parts with silicon or Viton O-rings. Nozzle installation requires no wrenches or tools. The new model is available with 316 stainless steel body and adaptors.

A division of Goodrich, Delavan Spray Technologies is one of the world's largest producers of top-quality spray nozzles, atomizers and fluid handling systems. The company distributes 30,000 varieties of nozzles and coordinates technical support through its comprehensive national network of distributors.

For more information on the new SDX V spray drying nozzle, or to place an order, contact a Delavan distributor or call 1-800-982-6943, 704-684-0428; fax: 803-245-4146.
