Precision Multiple Controls manufacturers of light sensitive controls now makes available its solid state ESC Series photocontrol. This control has been specifically designed for applications where outside lights do not have to be on all night, i.e., sign lights, parking lots, billboards, ornamental and landscape lighting and even some street lights.
Compact in size (approx. 3” cube), the Model ESC 124DS is rated for 1000 watt tungsten, 1800 VA lamp load and will operate over 105-285 volts AC. The control has a 3-prong locking-type plug base which is used in a standard matching NEMA receptacle used for street lighting.
The advanced solid state design enables the control to turn outside lights on by the change of natural light level (Dusk 2 foot-candles) and off at any predetermined time during the night. Off time is accomplished by making screw adjustments on the base of the control. Easy to set in the field, these controls can pay for themselves in energy savings in less than a year.
