Octiv Launches Volume Logic for iTunes Windows & Mac

Pump up the Volume with Real-Time Digital Remastering for iTunes

Now with Support for Windows, Mac, & the Griffin PowerMate USB Knob for Easy Volume Adjustments

Berkeley, CA, April 21, 2004 – Octiv, the digital audio innovator, announced today the first time availability of Volume Logic for Windows and an upgraded version for Mac, the first audio digital re-mastering plug-in for the Apple iTunes player. Volume Logic lets music lovers hear their favorite iTunes music with high-quality sound every time -- even when listening on puny computer speakers or MP3 players. Now available for Windows, Volume Logic was first released for the Macintosh in January 2004, and quickly won awards and accolades from Pen Computing Magazine, “Top 10 iPod Accessories Award,” Macworld Magazine, MacAddict, and more.

For a complete listening experience, Volume Logic now supports the Griffin PowerMate, a cool black aluminum knob that plugs directly into a Mac or Windows USB port and lets users adjust volume or mute sound for maximum sound quality control for iTunes. PowerMate mimics Volume Logic’s volume controls by simply selecting the Volume Logic “Up Arrow” control as “Increase Volume” and the “Down Arrow” as “Decrease Volume.”

Octiv Volume Logic improves the quality of the listening experience by digitally remastering audio in real-time with the same technology used by the pros in the music and broadcast business. Any iTunes playlist can sound like a professionally produced CD with automatic adjustment of volume dynamics and spectral balancing by Volume Logic.

The Volume Logic plug-in incorporates a state-of-the-art 5-band dynamics processor that examines and adjusts the audio thousands of times a second. Low levels are intelligently raised and loud signals are kept under control, all in real-time. Anything playing in iTunes, including MP3s, Internet radio, or CDs, will be digitally remastered for consistent volume level and spectral balance. Files are not scanned or modified. All the audio processing takes place in real-time while the audio is sent to your speakers or headphones.

Volume Logic for iTunes Windows and Volume Logic for iTunes Mac is available immediately for download at http://www.octiv.com/index.asp?content=iTunes for $19.95 each. For more information, see Octiv’s web site: www.octiv.com.
