IFS extends Lean Solutions to Mixed-Mode Manufacturing and Introduces Lean Scorecard
Orlando, Florida - IFS today announced a new Lean Scorecard, along with an extended Lean solution for mixed-mode manufacturers enabling companies to bring the benefits of Lean to the entire enterprise and supply chain.
IFS Applications 2004(tm) broadens IFS' Lean manufacturing solution in support of the many companies that mix pure Lean with traditional order-based planning and execution. By linking business performance systems with lean principles, IFS Applications 2004 gives executives a strategic management tool for continuous improvement.

The Lean Scorecard, a corporate performance management portal, gives management the tools to set performance baselines, trace continuous improvements, and communicate progress throughout their organization. Used to examine a company's current practices and present level of maturity in Lean implementation, the scorecard makes it possible for companies to compare current levels to best practices in Lean. By doing this assessment, companies can put together a cost-efficient, step-by-step implementation plan that does not disrupt business operations.
