Clear Screen Heaters refresh 2-3 times/second.
April 8, 2004 - Clear Screen Heaters are suited for LCDs that need fast response time at temperatures down to -40°C. Made from thin polyester with ITO coating, screen is 0.3 mm thick and suited to 5-12 V operation. Heaters are fitted between glass and backlight with adhesive strip. Interconnect leads can be customized for any size or shape. Maximum screen size is 6 in.

Clear Screen Heaters from Densitron Provide a Low Cost Solution to Low Temperature Response
Santa Fe Springs, April 1, 2004: Applications requiring LCDs that need a fast response time at temperatures down to -40 degrees C, will certainly benefit from a new range of low cost clear screen heaters from Densitron.
Instead of taking the usual two or three seconds to refresh at -20 degrees C, the addition of the clear screen heater will improve response time to two to three times per second. Made from very thin polyester with an ITO coating, the screen is only 0.3mm thick and is suited to 5-12V operation making it ideal for military and automotive use.
Easily fitted between the glass and the backlight with a fitted adhesive strip, the clear screen heaters provide exceptional clarity. Interconnect leads can be customized for any size or shape. Sizes are up to a maximum screen size of six inches.
OEM prices start at $2.00 for a 16x2 alphanumeric display, in addition to a small tooling cost. Delivery is 12 weeks ARO depending on availability.
