Hyster Company Introduces the J-Series Lift Trucks Powered By AC Technology(Greenville, N.C.) — Hyster Company continues to build on its reputation for manufacturing the toughest lift trucks in the industry by introducing the J40-65Z series of sit-down, counterbalanced electric, pneumatic tire lift trucks powered by AC technology. The series provides the same performance benefits of an internal combustion truck with a quieter motor, more comfortable ride and no exhaust emissions.
With the Hyster J-Series lift trucks, operators can work smarter longer thanks to an AC induction drive motor designed for optimal performance and durability – with no motor brushes, commutators or contactors. An optional brushless hoist motor completes the AC system configuration to reduce the time required for maintenance allowing operators to have more time behind the wheel.
The 80-volt electrical system lowers the truck's Amp draw requirements, resulting in lowered heat generation levels and longer component life. Precise speed management and exceptional responsiveness are a result of the "Extended Shift" function and an in-dash display that promote superior motor control. Hyster Company's unique thermal system uses logic-tree CANbus communication technology and sensors to modify functions and accommodate temperature increases while permitting continuous operation.
The J40-65Z series lift trucks are the most operator-friendly available. The Hyster exclusive MONOTROLC" pedal allows one-touch direction and speed control, and hydrostatic steer-on-command promotes excellent maneuverability. Adaptability and customization are made possible by smooth, exact performance control, which enables modification of the "Extended Shift" function, top speed limit, regenerative braking and auto deceleration functions. The Hyster VISTAB mast uses widely spaced mast channels to allow the widest possible view of the load from all locations, with 2-stage limited free-lift, 2-stage full free-lift or 3-stage full free-lift masts available to meet specific requirements. Soft-touch hydraulic control levers are placed within the operator's natural reach, and tilt steering and an adjustable seat minimize operator fatigue to maximize productivity and the bottom line.
