New Streamlight Argo™ Luxeon® Headlamp Offers Versatility and Brightness To Industrial Professionals; Hands-Free Flashlight Delivers Advanced Lighting Technology for Industrial Applications

Eagleville, PA Officials at Streamlight, Inc, a manufacturer of high-performance flashlights for industrial applications, introduce the Argo(tm) Luxeon(r) LED headlamp. Designed to satisfy the needs of industrial professionals, the Argo offers three digitally controlled brightness levels, an ultra-compact durable case, and rubber head straps for use with hardhats.

The Argo employs Streamlight¹s state-of-the art Luxeon technology, which offers the long life and reliability of an LED with the brightness and range of a conventional bulb (up to 7 times brighter than a standard high-intensity LED).

The Argo's three digitally controlled brightness levels allow the user to control power output and maximize runtime for whatever task they are completing. Using 100 percent power, the Argo projects its brightest beam, 24 lumens, for a maximum of one hour. At 50 percent power, the Argo will run for 2.5 hours and project 12 lumens for medium range lighting. With 25 percent power, the light can run up to 6.5 hours and give off 6 lumens for low level lighting.

"Most industrial workers wear hardhats for safety reasons," commented Penney. "To help secure the light to hardhats, a rubber headstrap is a standard included accessory with the Argo. "We are listening to our customers and giving them the tools they need to most effectively complete their jobs."

Lightweight, ultra-compact, and water-resistant, the Argo weighs less than five ounces and measures less than 3 inches wide. The Argo's ergonomic design offers a fully adjustable elastic strap that ensures a comfortable and secure fit. A 90-degree tilting head enables task specific lighting. Operating on three AAA alkaline batteries, the Argo features a battery level indicator that indicates the percentage of battery power remaining. The Argo's polycarbonate lens ensures standard Streamlight lens resilience.

"The Argo fits well into the Streamlight family of headlamps; it is made to withstand the rigors of industrial tasks without sacrificing effectiveness and functionality," said Penney.

Available with a yellow ABS case, the Argo retails for $35.97 and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty (excludes batteries). Elastic and rubber head straps are included.
