Uniform Source System calibrates visible to IR spectrum.

March 31, 2004 - Model USS-400-IG provides uniform irradiance over spectral range of 600 nm to 5 µm. It includes tungsten illuminator for visible and NIR region and glowbar illuminator for IR region. Each is equipped with micrometer-driven variable attenuator for control over irradiance levels and to balance short and long wavelength regions of source spectrum. Dedicated DC power supply provides regulated current to each illuminator. All calibrations are traceable to NIST.

Labsphere 400-IG Uniform Source System Calibrates Visible to IR Spectrum

North Sutton, NH – The new Labsphere USS-400-IG Uniform Source System provides uniform irradiance over a spectral range of visible to IR light (600nm to 5 µm), enabling the calibration of a broad range of imaging sensors and systems, including VIS/NIR/IR sensors, IR-based camera systems, and IR targeting systems.

The 400-IG features two independently variable external illuminators: a tungsten illuminator for the visible and NIR region, and a glowbar illuminator for the IR region. Each illuminator is equipped with a micrometer-driven variable attenuator to provide precise control over irradiance levels and to balance the short and long wavelength regions of the source spectrum. A dedicated DC power supply provides regulated current to each illuminator. All calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The 400-IG includes a 4” diameter integrating sphere with a 1.25” diameter exit port. The sphere is coated with Labsphere InfraGold, providing an irradiance uniformity of 98%.

About Labsphere: With 25 years of experience, Labsphere, Inc. is the world leader in light measurement, producing best-in-class calibration systems and components.
