March 31, 2004 - Fluid Bed Processors feature circular configuration that enables entire system including heater/cooler/moisturizer, blower, and dust collector to be self-contained on frame with casters, ready to plug-in and run. Inherent strength eliminates need for heavy-gauge walls and cross braces otherwise required to withstand continuous vibration. Ranging in diameter from 18–24 in., rental units feature few weld seams and require only 1 air inlet and outlet.

Fluid Bed Dryers/Coolers/Moisturizers for On-Site Trials
MILLBURN, NJ-Circular vibratory fluid bed processors are now offered on a rental basis for drying, cooling or moisturizing trials at customer facilities, it was announced by Henry Alamzad, President of Kason Corporation.
"Kason now maintains an inventory of fluid bed dryers, coolers and moisturizers in smaller sizes desired by customers for process engineering and pilot plant evaluations," says Alamzad,
adding, "Short and mid-term rentals enable customers to engineer new products and processes, and to specify higher-capacity fluid bed equipment that meets full scale production
requirements with certainty."
The exclusive, circular configuration of Kason fluid bed processors enables entire systems including heater/cooler/moisturizer, blower and dust collector to be self-contained on frames with casters, ready to plug-in and run, offering pilot plants fast set-up, compactness, mobility
and flexibility not possible with rectangular units that are two-to three-times larger and heavier at equivalent capacities.
Inherent strength of the circular processor eliminates the need for heavy-gauge walls and cross braces otherwise required to withstand continuous vibration, allowing vibratory motors to
be downsized. The circular unit also requires only one air inlet and outlet and has fewer weld seams, reducing overall size and construction cost, especially when finished to 3A, FDA, and BISSC sanitary standards.
Cleaning time is reportedly cut by more than 50 percent due to the reduction in interior seams, and accessibility afforded by a quick-disconnect housing.
Kason fluid bed processors are offered in diameters from 18" to 84" (450mm to 2125mm). Rental units are available in 18" and 24" (450mm and 600mm) diameters, with larger units rented on a custom basis.
Kason's line of fluid bed processors dry, cool, or moisturize bulk chemicals, minerals, plastics, foods, dairy products, pharmaceuticals and other materials on a batch or continuous
basis, on a laboratory or production scale.
The company also manufactures circular vibratory screeners for sifting, scalping, classifying, dedusting and dewatering of bulk solid materials and solids-laden slurries, and centrifugal screeners for sifting, scalping, de-agglomerating and dewatering applicalions.
