New Faraday Enclosure for ScienceDesk™ Systems
Ely, UK – Melles Griot introduces a Faraday enclosure accessory for their ScienceDesk™ workstation.
Experiments in electrophysiology, confocal microscopy, and other sensitive applications often must be shielded from external interferences such as high-frequency electromagnetic waves (e.g., AM/FM radio waves), drafts, light, and electrostatic fields. The ScienceDesk Faraday enclosure protects against these external sources of interference by attenuating electromagnetic interference by up to 50 dB at 10 MHz and 29 dB at 1 GHz. Thermal variations and dust contamination of the work area are also significantly reduced.
The enclosure is available in sizes to fit all standard ScienceDesk configurations. The aluminum frame and panels provide a light, yet sturdy, structure which mounts onto the ScienceDesk frame and provides a completely grounded system that does not interfere with the vibration-isolated tabletop.
