November 8, 2001 - Platinum Clad Anodes feature complete metallurgical bond of metals and are available as platinum clad niobium or platinum clad titanium, with or without copper core. Platinum thickness can range from 10 to 600 µin. Supplied as wire and rod 0.031 in. to 1 in. dia, and as woven mesh up to 24 in. wide, anodes are dimensionally stable which provides uniform plating in metal finishing applications and is nonpolluting for cathodic protection.

Platinum Clad Anodes Feature Complete Metallurgical Bond

A full line of platinum clad anodes for metal finishing and cathodic protection applications that can be supplied as wire, rod, and woven mesh is available from Anomet Products, Inc. of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Anomet Platinum Clad Anodes feature a complete metallurgical bond of the metals and are available as platinum clad niobium or platinum clad titanium; with or without a copper core. Providing superior mechanical strength and ductility, these platinum clad anodes are insoluble and the platinum thickness can range from 10 to 600 pin., depending upon the application.

Supplied as wire and rod 0.031" to 1" dia. and as woven mesh up to 24" W, Anomet Platinum Clad Anodes are dimensionally stable which provides uniform plating in metal finishing applications and is non-polluting for cathodic protection. Applications include precious metal electroplating, chrome plating, electrodialysis, and the cathodic protection of storage tanks,
pressure vessels, docks, pipelines, and reinforced concrete structures.
