Adjustable Spray Nozzle spray coats powders and liquids.

November 6, 2001 - Air-operated, VDF adjustable spray nozzle enables field operators to control spray pattern, material powder through-put, or droplet size by varying compressed air flowing through unit. Tapered exhaust end provides consistent, uniform spray without clogging or clumping. Straight-thru design is self-cleaning. Nozzle operates safely under pressures from 10 to 60 PSI. It can produce fine mist or heavy flow in amounts from 10cc/min up to 2 gal/min.

Adjustable Spray Nozzle Offers Custom Control for Spray Coating Liquids and Powders

Adjustable Spray Nozzle offers Custom Control for Spray Coating Liquids and Powders

Vaccon Company, Inc. of Medfield, Massachusetts introduces an air-operated, adjustable spray nozzle to control the spraying of liquids and/or fine powders for coating tablets, pills, pellets, candy, foods, metals and more. The spray nozzle is field adjustable enabling the operator to control the spray pattern, material powder through-put, or droplet size by varying the amount of compressed air allowed to flow through the unit. The spray nozzle can be custom configured to minimize the amount of compressed air needed for each application.

By tapering the exhaust end of a VDF variable vacuum pump, Vaccon created an adjustable spray nozzle that provides a consistent, unifonm spray without clogging or clumping. The spray nozzle is safe to operate using low air pressure (10 to 60 psi) and is self-cleaning due to its straight-thru design. The operator can gain further efficiency by controlling the pressure on the material as it flows to the nozzle.

Whether the material is a liquid or a powder, the VDF adjustable spray nozzle can produce a fine mist or a heavy flow in amounts from 10cc/min up to 2 gallons/min. With no moving parts, the VDF adjustable spray nozzle provides a safe, low maintenance, low cost, dependable operation without a filter or a regulator. Complete spraying systems including nozzle, control unit and cooling stations are available.

VDF adjustable spray nozzles are available in 7 sizes and can be made of anodized aluminum, stainless steel or PVC.
