August 7, 2008 - Combining PCD diamond tooling with 7-axis laser technology, TiroWave® 3D Chip Breakers are suitable for machining aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, all non-ferrous materials, composites, reinforced plastics, and materials with abrasive binders. Chip breaker and cutting edge are laser-made, preventing cutting materials from adhering to tool edge. TiroWave® is available in all ANSI and ISO styles, including 80º, 55º, 30º, square, triangle, and round inserts.

CIMtek GROUP BRINGS REVOLUTIONARY TIROWAVE® 3D CHIP BREAKERS IN PCD DIAMOND INSERTS TO NORTH AMERICAN MARKET

Elgin, IL - (August 5, 2008) Combining PCD diamond tooling with 7-axis laser technology, TiroWave® 3D Chip Breakers from TiroTool offer a quantum leap in tool life and productivity.

Now available in North America exclusively from CIMtek, the TiroWave® has a tool life up to 10 times longer than conventional types when machining aluminum alloys. The TiroWave® is also ideal for machining magnesium alloys, all non-ferrous materials, composites, reinforced plastics and materials with abrasive binders.

While most chip breakers feature sintered and ground cutting edges, the TiroWave®'s chip breaker and cutting edge are laser-made. This process results in a cleaner surface that allows for smoother finishes, and prevents cutting materials from adhering to the tool edge. Less wear and tear, and reduced cutting forces, on the tool translate to a longer tool life.

For exceptional productivity, the TiroWave® operates at high speeds and feeds, and is capable of performing both roughing and finishing operations. What's more, TiroTool's chip control results in uninterrupted production for increased productivity with even the softest materials.

TiroWave® is available in all ANSI and ISO styles, including 80º, 55º, 30º, square, triangle and round inserts.
