Mist Collectors have expanded cabinet design.
February 24, 2004 - SHN mist collectors have expanded cabinet design with impingement plenum that enables users to add 2 in. Mist Stop (coalescing) or Oil Impingement filter in front of standard 1 in. aluminum mesh filter without having to add separate inlet plenum. All units have filter tracks that allow addition of Mist-Stop filter within ESP cabinet just in front of 1 in. slot for aluminum mesh filter. Cabinet design also minimizes unit cleanings.

CINCINNATI, OH ć February 11, 2004 ć Introduction of a new, standard, expanded cabinet design for SHN mist collectors that use an impingement plenum, is announced by United Air Specialists, Inc. (UAS). The new design enables users to add a 2-in. Mist Stop (Coalescing) or Oil Impingement filter in front of the standard 1-in. aluminum mesh filter without having to purchase a separate inlet plenum.
The recently introduced UAS Mist-Stop filters are designed primarily for water-soluble coolant mist applications when machine tools are using very high-pressure coolant systems, or where heavy contaminant loading is present. The new UAS Mist-Stop filters are designed to dramatically reduce cleaning requirements on UAS Mist Collector components, and thereby increase the interval times between cleanings by two to three times.
All UAS SHN units now have filter tracks that allow addition of the Mist-Stop filter within the ESP cabinet just in front of the 1-in. slot for installation of the standard 1-in. aluminum mesh filter. The new cabinet design, in addition to eliminating the cost of having to purchase a separate inlet plenum, also saves users the time and additional cost of more frequent unit cleanings.
